Taser Gun Used by Police to Stop Suspect

The Dayton, Ohio Police were forced to fire their taser guns on Myron Thompson after chasing him from a domestic violence disturbance last Sunday. More on the story from Dayton Daily News:

Dayton police officers fired their Taser guns at a suspect who they said ran from them yesterday.


Officers were called for a domestic dispute call involving Myron Thompson, 39, just before 7 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of West Norman Avenue.


The resident there said Thompson was threatening her, but had left the scene, according to a police report.


Officers later found Thompson crouched behind a privacy fence, according to the report.


One officer pointed his Taser gun at Thompson and told him not to move, but Thompson allegedly fled and was hit with a Taser gun by a second officer, according to the report.


He was charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest. He remains in Montgomery County Jail today, according to jail records.
